Attend an Event

Our events cover a variety of topics and are a fun way to engage on food politics, learn new skills, meet like-minded people, and build a network of activists. Whether you’re a seasoned activist or just curious, we’d love to meet you! Contact us to speak or share a skill at one of our events.

Seed the Commons is a small organization that depends on volunteers. We have plenty of projects that can use your help, shoot us an email with your interests and availability and we will find the right fit!

At events we always need people to help with transportation, registration, food prep, interpretation and more. Other volunteer opportunities include translation, graphic design, and research assistance.

If you live in the Bay Area we warmly invite you to our weekly work party, Volunteer Monday. Hosted at the home of one of our organizers in the San Francisco South of Market neighborhood, conveniently located near Embarcadero BART and the Transbay Terminal, Volunteer Mondays are every Monday from 5pm to 8pm. Snacks are provided. Please RSVP.
