Exploring Justice Along the Food Chain: A Vegetable Tamale Workshop

February 21, 2018 @ 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM

A couple years ago for Cesar Chavez Day, Seed the Commons developed a vegan tamale workshop that explores social justice along the food chain. Learning about food systems while nomming on delicious healthy tamales turned out to be a winning combo, and we have since been invited to lead this workshop in partnership with various organizations.

We’re excited to go to LA next month and hold it at UCLA! It will be slightly modified as it will be a demo, and not a workshop, but it will still be informative and fun. If you’re in SoCal, don’t miss it!

Facebook event.

The event is free but RSVP is required.
It is co-sponsored by
UCLA Food Studies
UCLA Center for Mexican Studies
