Join Seed the Commons as we request the San Francisco School Board to remove milk from school meals.
Political Education/Community Events
We hold events such as skillshares, discussions and celebrations that build community and are a space in which to share skills and information on healthy eating, veganism, food justice and more. Our primary focus is education on the politics of food, and this is an axis of all of our community events. Sign up for our newsletter and check out our calendar for upcoming dates.
In 2015, Seed the Commons organized the first of an annual vegan food sovereignty forum – a unique event in which we discussed how to reclaim our food systems and build alternatives to the corporate, industrial model while working within a vegan framework.
Working Group on Veganic Farming
The Working Group on Veganic Farming works to promote veganic farming as a basis of our food systems and to bring a vegan perspective to the sustainable farming movement. Our meetings are held every couple months and are open to everyone.
